Last year I started the Spring Scarf pattern that came with a Knit Picks sampler kit. The lace pattern did not work. As usual I assumed that I was an idiot, ripped it out, and put it away for later. Later arrived today. Again, the pattern didn't work. Beginning to suspect that I was not the problem after all, I downloaded the pattern from the Knit Picks site. Surprise! The original chart was quite, quite messed up. Note to self and all who might suffer similar consternation: double-check these Knit Picks sampler patterns before tearing hair out.
I've started another pattern from a different sampler: the diamond pattern mitts. I have not checked it against the online version because it isn't lace. Maybe I should, just in case.
Still awaiting that visit from the finishing fairy for the baby hoodie and chullo hat. Maybe she works weekends.
