As I've mentioned previously, I ordered the laptop bag kit from Knit Picks. Yes, in case it has not become woefully apparent already, I must confess right now that have a Knit Picks problem. It began when I started listening to Kelley's podcast. Be warned. Anyway, here's the good thing/bad thing: it uses a steek.
I have never steeked. I don't think I'm actually afraid of them but let's just say I have never been motivated to take scissors to my knitting. Well, that's not exactly true either. I've never been motivated to take scissors to knitting I'm happy with. I'm curious, though. I know steeking must work at least part of the time because other people have done it, and all things considered I'm pleased that this project will force me to tackle it.
A bit of good news: I have acquired a second-hand laptop to put in the lovely new bag. If I didn't have a laptop to put in it I'd have to make one out of a pizza box and that might just look silly.
Have you noticed a dearth of pictures on this blog of late? This is because I am not making noteworthy progress on anything. I knit a few rows here, a few stitches there, on each of about ten WIPs from time to time but it never results in anything worth showing off. I have faith that I will eventually settle on the project that will get me moving again.
Off to the Creativ Festival this weekend. Am going to try to keep the credit card sheathed.
