I didn't make it. I still have four rounds to go in section 4 of the anniversary shawl and my yarn has already arrived for the Halloween shawl. And guess what I did to celebrate? I tied up the lovely baby alpaca/silk/cashmere into a giant snargle (that's a snarl crossed with a tangle) while trying to hand wind it. Ended up having to cut the mess into four separate pieces with a few hopelessly tangled feet chopped out of it. I am not a happy knitter.
Feeling somewhat defeated before I begin, I'm pondering taking a break from lace shawls today. I might start a Wallaby for 10-yr-old daughter. I need easy therapeutic knitting right now.
